Our Mission
The George Washington University Model United Nations team seeks to provide education and training in debate and international affairs by participation in rigorous UN simulations. New members seeking to join the team are chosen through the competitive Cadets program. The MUN Travel Team competes in numerous conferences from New York City to Chicago to San Francisco.

All undergraduate students at The George Washington University are eligible to join the GWMUN Team. We are unfortunately unable to accept graduate students.
GWMUN accepts applications for new members at the beginning of every semester. Each candidate will go through a three-step application process involving a written application, interview, and mock general assembly tryout.
Accepted members are entered into the GWMUN Cadets Program, which includes two lessons per week in the Fall semester and once a week in the Spring. Cadets must also attend one conference or mock per semester.
Yes! There are no experience requirements to apply, and all accepted members will undergo “Cadet” training to learn about the fundamentals of Model UN. Many of our most successful delegates never did Model UN before College!
